Any change in the character, color, or quantity of droppings, eating behavior, drinking behavior, or overall behavior is an emergency for a bird. Birds do not give many signs of illness before they are severely ill. The can appear sick and die in the same day with little warning. Sick birds cannot wait and should be seen immediately. If we are not open, please find another qualified avian veterinarian as soon as possible. Dr. Eman has a special interest in avian medicine and is well trained in the veterinary care of pet birds.
